
On February 18, a delegation from the Department of Hematology and Oncology at Shenzhen Children's Hospital—led by Director Liu Sixi and including Director Li Changgang, Director Mai Huirong, and Deputy Director Tang Xue—visited Shenzhen Cell Valley. They were warmly received by our Chairman, Professor Shi Yuanyuan; Chief Scientist, Professor Wang Jianxun; Executive Assistant to the Chairman, Fu Yuchen; R&D Minister, Zhao Lijun; and Marketing Minister, Sun Rui, who also presided over a subsequent symposium.

Accompanied by Minister Sun Rui, the guests toured the Smart Exhibition Hall, the Digital Monitoring Platform, and the Production and Quality Control Workshops. During the visit, the delegation gained a preliminary understanding of the company’s strategic layout, corporate history, core team, and proprietary technologies. They also explored the history and current state of cell therapy, as well as the role and advantages of retroviral vectors in this field. Through this tour, they developed a deeper appreciation for Shenzhen Cell Valley's comprehensive, one-stop service model, which spans from basic scientific research to clinical application.
During the symposium, Chairman Professor Shi Yuanyuan extended a warm welcome to Director Liu Sixi and his team, detailing Cell Valley's technological strengths and innovative achievements in cell therapy. As a major municipal project and a significant public service platform for the biopharmaceutical industry, Shenzhen Cell Valley specializes in one-stop integrated services for cell and gene therapy, backed by profound technical expertise and an international vision. Professor Shi highlighted that the clinical-grade cell products prepared using retroviral vectors at Cell Valley offer distinct advantages, including high safety, low cost, efficient and stable infection rates, and effective in vivo expansion. He noted that these products provide high-quality, affordable cell therapy options for patients with advanced hematologic tumors, representing a promising exploration for the large-scale, industrial application of cell therapy products.
Led by Director Liu Sixi, the Department of Hematology and Oncology at Shenzhen Children's Hospital is a leading pediatric team in China. They possess extensive clinical experience, particularly in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and precision treatment for pediatric hematologic tumors. Director Liu’s team expressed high recognition of Shenzhen Cell Valley’s technical capabilities and research achievements. They look forward to leveraging Cell Valley’s technical advantages and rich experience in clinical collaboration to further advance clinical research and therapeutic applications for pediatric hematologic tumors.

Established in 1997 in Futian District, Shenzhen Children's Hospital is a comprehensive pediatric facility integrating medical care, health preservation, scientific research, teaching, and rehabilitation. It holds the distinction of being the first Grade A tertiary children's specialist hospital in Guangdong Province.
The hospital is designated as a key construction unit among high-level hospitals in Guangdong Province (second batch) and serves as a branch center for the National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases.
